Jane Masojada
Jane Masojada is a contemporary figurative artist specialising in portraiture. The colours and light of her early years growing up in South Africa feature in her paintings as does the analytical nature of her scientific background. Jane’s aim is to describe what she sees in paint, whether that is the reality of the human presence in the form of a portrait or life study, a landscape or any natural form.
Jane has exhibited at The Royal Society of Portrait Painters exhibition in the Mall Galleries and recently held the role of Artist in Residence at The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, Bermuda.
During this time Jane was commissioned to paint 22 portraits of Bermudians from all walks of life. This solo show entitled “The People of Bermuda” was then shown first in London and then in Bermuda.
Jane recently had a painting “ Out of the Ashes” sold at auction in London in aid of the Guatemalan Volcano Relief Fund.
