Sharon McDaid

Sharon McDaid is an award-winning, contemporary artist from Ireland, who creates original oil paintings and mixed media works from her studio and gallery located on the outskirts of Carndonagh, on the way to Ireland’s most Northern point, Malinhead.

Regarded as an emerging talent in Irish contemporary painting, Sharon works predominantly in oils. Her painting is inspired by her native Inishowen, and perfectly captures the unique beauty and ever-changing light of the Irish peninsula.  

Over the past 20 years, Sharon has exhibited her distinctive works widely both at home and abroad, and her paintings have become part of many public and private collections. She also exhibits from her own studio/gallery, where visitors can usually find the artist working.
