Rick Garland

Rick Garland is a British artist, famously known for his photorealist paintings depicting industrial landscapes, figures and portraits. Renowned for his ability to effortlessly capture an emotive quality of light and atmosphere.

Having studied at the Gemini School of Illustration - one of the premier illustration colleges in Europe. Post graduation and for the next 15 years, worked as a freelance Fine Art Illustrator being represented by the two foremost agencies in the UK.

Rick started his own Fine Art Company in 2000, representing other UK based artists but in 2009 decided to concentrate solely on his own projects, after wanting for more artistic freedom.

Rick has been represented over the last decade by Colley Ison gallery in Birmingham and RJD gallery in America, and now is locally represented by the Lilford Gallery, due to Garland living near Canterbury himself.
